Tunku
Once again, Tunku Vardarajan pretends to be a conservative Indian expert. Except, when it comes to Modi and India, he turns into a railing leftwinger. Here is his latest in the Wall Street Journal.
1. "If Mr. Trudeau’s allegation is true," Tunku tells us, "India has crossed a line no civilized nation should cross." However, he ignores the fact that that very line has been breached by many "civilized nations" many times.
2. Tunku goes on to call India a "less liberal democracy" without evidence. We are supposed to take his words, I suppose. Right? No mention of the Air India bombing, vandalizing of Hindu temples, or threatening Indian diplomats and Hindu Canadians. No mention of Khalistani gang violence either.
3. Tunku is willing to give Trudeau the benefit of the doubt even when Trudeau presents no evidence. "It seems unlikely that Mr. Trudeau would make such a splash if he didn’t have solid evidence," we are told. Why is that unlikely? Because of the color of his skin?
